This modification of the CCS2-NACS adapters features a locking mechanism on both sides- CCS2 (charger) and NACS (car). This design feature prevents unauthorized cable disconnections and improves safety.
The CCS2 to NACS adapter allows charging North American Tesla cars in Europe. This connector is compatible with all CCS2 (DC) fast chargers. It is one of the few adapters on the market rated at 500A (up to 250 kW). This means there will be no reduction in charging speed/power.
This CCS2 adapter has a temperature kill switch that is triggered at 85°C and interrupts the charging session until the temperature normalizes. This is only a safety feature that customers usually never trigger. Compatible with all American Tesla vehicles, including the Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Tesla Model X, and Tesla Model S. Vehicles manufactured before 2020 need a CCS module retrofit!
