Battery Life: Charging Nissan Leaf at CCS Hypercharger
Delivered in a week I tried it at 2 different chargers, and it worked flawlessly. I couldn't test the max. charging speed yet since the battery was 70% full, but I already saw 50kW for a short time before the amps went down again. That wasn't possible with ChaDeMo before, which maxed out at 45kW with my Leaf ZE1 62kWh. I wished the adapter was cheaper, but - well, it's a niche product, what do you expect?
Update: Did new test with a lower charge level and it works perfectly with an Alpitronic Hypercharger HYC_150 - I'm getting 75kW with the max. rated 200A
It works! Gives me the adaptability to use CHAdeMO or CCS. I’ve used it a few times now and it’s not let me down. I know it’s costly, but would thoroughly recommend it.
I have just made 3 trips to London from Yorkshire, I used to fear not getting a ChAdeMo unit and having to wait.
No problem now I have the adapter used 9 times or more works every time expensive but worth it.
